Self-guided experiences

Volunteers will be in attendance to help you get the most of the experience. We'll be using the Merlin App so, if you want to help discover which birds are singing in different parts of the wood, please download the app in advance.
About Swinn Wood

Willow Tree Fen

The gates to access the viewing area will be open. This gives a special opportunity to hear a huge range of wetland species including the possibility of bugling cranes.
About Willow Tree Fen

Tealby Village Green, 5am - 6am

Volunteers from the Tealby village green wildlife project will be in attendance, some of whom have expert bird knowledge. However, the experience will be self-guided so you can choose to download the Merlin Bird ID app or just open yourself to the beauty of nature without worrying about identification.
We expect the event will last about an hour or so, concluding with free refreshments, kindly donated by Tealby Community Shop.
