About the event

Our soft sediment coastline can often seem uninviting but through that sandy water a wealth of life can be found, with The Wash and saltmarshes acting as key nursery grounds for marine species. Start the day push netting in The Wash to catch your animals before learning how to identify them with the aid of keys, guides and microscopes. In the afternoon head back down to the beach to try your hand at beachcombing and exploring what the strandline has to offer.

A charge of £30pp includes all tuition along with soup and sandwiches for lunch and refreshments throughout the day. You will need to bring waterproof shoes with you as you will be going into the sea.

Please note the workshop will only run if there are 5 or more people booked on and booking is essential as places are limited. Bookings close Friday 10th July.
