We're turning 70!

This December, the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust is celebrating 70 years as Lincolnshire's dedicated wildlife conservation charity. Take a look at how we're celebrating below and see how you can get involved!

70 Flags for 70 Years

Calling all crafters!

We're looking for members of the public to help us create some beautiful bunting that represents Lincolnshire's wildlife and the work we do here at the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. We're aiming to make 70 flags - one for each year of the Trust.

You can choose to create whatever bunting design you like! Pick your favourite local animal, a Lincolnshire wildflower, or something you feel represents the Trust or our reserves. We've made a handy template for you to use which you can download below, then send us your finished design in the post.

We'll be hosting an exhibition of the bunting flags at the end of the year, so if you'd like to hear about it please include your name and contact details with your bunting to receive your invite in the post!

What can I design?

We'd love to see a real mix of designs including animals, plants and insects. From hedgehogs and foxes, to butterflies and beetles, or even your favourite Lincolnshire landscapes. If you need some ideas, why not head to our history page to see a timeline of our activity since 1948.

What do I make it out of?

Below is an A4 template you can download and print at home. Use this to cut out your fabric (any colour), then the rest is up to you! You can paint, sew, felt, stitch, or mix it up a bit - we'd love to see a range of colours and textures throughout the bunting. All we ask is that you use our template as a size guide and fabric to transfer your design onto.

How do I submit my flag?

Once you've got your flag ready, post it to us at the address below. If you'd like to hear about our 70 Year Celebration Event where we will be exhibiting the bunting together for the first time, please fill out the contact slip provided and return together with your finished bunting.

Send your finished flag to:

Bake for wildlife

Bake for wildlife

On your marks. Get set. Bake for wildlife!

Filled with inspiration from this year's Bake Off? Join in our birthday celebrations and bake for wildlife this November! Invite your friends round for tea and show off your best hedgehog cake, or get together a team in your office and have a competition for Star Baker. You could even host your own bake sale at your local school or village hall and help raise money for the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.

Whatever you decide to do, we'd love for you to share your bakes with us using #70YearsWild on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. We'll be sharing our favourties at the end of each week.
