Do you have a passion for inspiring people about nature and the natural world? Would you like to help deliver environmental activities to school groups, at events for visiting families and in the local community?

This is an exciting opportunity for a six-month residential volunteering placement with the opportunity of paid roles to support your voluntary time with us. This seasonal placement is suitable for someone looking to begin a career in environmental education and public engagement. You'll assist the Far Ings team in delivering and developing a wide range of activities including visitor experiences, educational trips and community events.

Good teamworking skills and the ability to be self-motivated are essential. A driving licence and some previous experience of public engagement or environmental education would be an advantage.

We can offer in-house training, first aid qualification and a wide range of experience in the environmental sector, as well as on-site accommodation in a self-contained apartment within the Visitor Centre on this amazing National Nature Reserve. Two paid roles in the building are available to provide financial support for your volunteering if you wish. There is further information on the attached document.

Commitment: Approximately 28 hours a week

Duration: Six months (April to September)
