Talk: Cranes
Event details
About the event
During lockdown in 2020, common cranes returned to breed in the Lincolnshire Fens after an absence of four hundred years. This talk, by Crane Watch volunteer David Cohen, traces the history of cranes in the UK and their return to Willow Tree Fen, a reserve owned and managed by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.
Willow Tree Fen Crane Watch volunteers help visitors to see and identify the wealth of wildlife from the reserve car park/viewing area throughout the nesting season from 9am until dusk daily.
There will be a break for refreshments half way through the talk, and coffee and tea is available for £1.50. There is a car park at the side of the Town Hall which is free at night. If anyone requires access via a lift, rather than stairs, there is parking in the street on the other side of the Town Hall where there is access to a lift.
All welcome, you do not need to be a member to join our activities.
