About the event

A workshop for adults to learn about safe and sustainable foraging of native wild plants and how to prepare various recipes with them on an open fire in our outdoor kitchen in the forest. Course leaders Sue Fysh and Sam Reast (Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust Officers) will cover some basic principles of foraging, such as basic plant identification, what sustainability means in foraging, best practice and foraging and the law, followed by a chance to forage at Whisby and some time to work together to produce some food stuffs and beverages using nature's bounty.

Where a workshop is dependent on the weather, we may have to make changes or, on rare occasions due to extreme weather, cancel to ensure the safety of all.
