About the event

This half-term (Saturday 24 May to Sunday 1 June), the hedgehogs have taken over Snipe Dales! Visit during opening hours and grab a free trail leaflet from the holder on the outside of the main building (look for the painted snipe wings!). You'll find it has lots of questions about the UK’s favourite native mammal. Then look for the fun hedgehog boards as you enjoy your walk through the woods and you'll gradually discover the answers! Learn how you can attract hedgehogs to your garden, why they are important, their favourite snacks, what to do if you find one out during the day, and much more.

The boards follow a circular route within the Country Park, so dogs are welcome to join you on short leads. There are some steep sections but the paths are accessible for pushchairs.

This is a self-guided trail, aimed at under-12s but open to all. Please bring £1 cash for the car park machine. Their are toilets in the car park area.

On Saturday 24 May, the trail will be one of a variety of activities for all ages as part of the Snipe Dales open day. Don't miss out on homemade cake and refreshments too!
