About the event

Our new specialist nursery at Saltfleetby is due to open in May this year. Through the Wilder Humber project, we aim to restore and enrich saltmarsh in the Humber, reconnect and enrich sand dunes, and improve ecosystem succession. At our purpose-built nursery, we’ll be growing specialised saltmarsh and sand dune plants and pioneering restoration methods to restore and enrich these habitats. It will only be possible with the help and support of a dedicated volunteer community.

If you are interested in volunteering with us or learning more about what we do, come and celebrate our newest milestone in the Wilder Humber project by visiting our new specialist saltmarsh and sand dune nursery in Saltfleetby. We will be open with a range of activities, refreshments, and a chance to learn about the project and volunteering roles available.

Wilder Humber is a five-year programme to restore marine habitats and species throughout the Humber estuary delivered through a pioneering conservation partnership between Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, and international green energy leader Ørsted.
