Educational Visits

Nature based learning

We offer immersive nature-based activities for schools and colleges in a variety of wildlife-rich settings, providing the chance to escape from the classroom and learn about the natural world.

We can give your students a school trip they will never forget.

What do we offer?

Planned and delivered by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust’s Education Team, we have many years of experience in sharing our expertise and passion for nature in our beautiful and varied outdoors spaces. We will connect you all with nature through activities that engage hearts and minds, and that can be delivered alongside any curriculum requirement you may have.

Primary

We will connect you all with nature through hands-on activities. You and your students will enjoy an inspiring experience full of awe and wonder at the complexity and variety of nature and will leave with an understanding of the importance of connecting with nature on a regular basis for health and wellbeing purposes.

Our education teams offer three themed days, that can be customised at the planning stage:

Lincolnshire’s Wildlife
A day of exploring the natural world and discovering the wildlife, animals and plants that live around us.

Lincolnshire’s environments
Take a walk through time as you discover the changes in the environment brought about by human and natural activities.

Experience Nature
An immersive day connecting with nature through a combination of natural art, storytelling, exploration and senses and emotions.

Secondary

Our education teams offer students the opportunity to develop a range of practical skills and survey techniques to meet curriculum and exam board specifications.

We had an amazing visit at Whisby Nature Park. The Education Centre planned a fantastic day

that fitted perfectly into our project - 'What makes water wonderful?'. The children learnt so much and

they said it was the best trip they'd ever had!!!
