About the event

The evening begins with a hearty meal at our Gibraltar Point cafe, featuring a choice of beef, chicken, or lentil (GF) burgers served with chips, and tea or coffee or soft drink - the perfect way to fuel up before heading outdoors. 

After dinner, wrap up for a gentle walk along the saltmarsh and treeline footpaths. As dusk settles, we’ll use electronic bat detectors (1 per booking) to tune into the ultrasonic calls of bats as they emerge from their roosts and swoop into the night to feed.

Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast or simply curious about these nocturnal creatures, this event offers a unique opportunity to experience Gibraltar Point in a whole new light, or rather, twilight! 

Booking is required, as places are limited. This event is for families with children aged 8 and over. Parking is available, normal parking fees apply. This is an outdoor activity so do come dressed for the weather and it is recommended to bring insect repellent with you.
