About the event

The evening begins with a hearty meal, featuring a choice of beef, chicken, halloumi, or lentil (GF) burgers served with chips, and tea or coffee, the perfect way to fuel up before heading outdoors.

After dinner, wrap up for a gentle walk along the saltmarsh and treeline footpaths. As dusk settles, we’ll use electronic bat detectors to tune into the ultrasonic calls of bats as they emerge from their roosts and swoop into the night to feed.

Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast or simply curious about these nocturnal creatures, this event offers a unique opportunity to experience Gibraltar Point in a whole new light, or rather, twilight!

Booking is required, as places are limited. This event is for adults and families with children aged 13 and over. Parking is available, normal parking fees apply. This is an outdoor activity so do come dressed for the weather and it is recommended to bring insect repellent with you.
