Walk: Shorebirds and their Conservation
Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve ,
Gibraltar Road, Skegness, PE24 4SUEvent details
About the event
Learn about the shorebird species breeding here and how the team work to protect them. Bring your binoculars along for a chance to see ringed plover and oystercatcher as they begin to establish their territories. A telescope will also be taken out to hopefully offer some closer viewing opportunities during the walk.
This walk will take place twice during the day, in the morning (10.30 am - 12.30 pm) and the afternoon (1.30 pm - 3.30 pm). The same information will be given on both walks, so there is no need to attend both. Please select the ticket of the time you would like to join us for.
The walk will cover about 3km and will involve some steps; comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
We will be meeting at the bottom of the Visitor Centre ramp, please arrive 10 minutes before your walk is set to leave. This event is for adults and families with children aged 13 and over. Booking is essential as places are limited. Parking is available, normal parking fees apply.
Come for the walk and see the beach through a bird’s-eye view!
