Sam Bartle
Spring Poetry Workshop
Event details
About the event
Using the seasons as a creative springboard—its archetypes, transformations, and the subtle influence of climate change—participants will be encouraged to reflect, write, and have opportunity to share (optional).
Whether inspired by unfurling leaves, shifting skies, or your own personal journey, you’ll be free to follow your own poetic path, guided by prompts, discussion, and encouragement, helping you build confidence in your own poetic voice. Come along, connect with nature and others, and spring into words, leaving with a renewed passion for poetry.
This informal session welcomes writers of all levels and may especially suit new writers who are looking for a supportive space to explore their creativity and self-expression.
Please note: Depending on the weather, a short time may be spent in exploration of the nature reserve for creative inspiration.

From 21 March until 4 May, Sam Bartle’s exhibition ‘Seasons’ will be on display in the Far Ings Visitor Centre.
This visual arts interpretation uses poetry to address each season and what they have meant to us for generations. Sam aims to inspire readers to consider these archetypes against their own recent experiences of weather in the context of the climate emergency.
