Butterfly Trail - Gibraltar Point
Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve ,
Gibraltar Road, Skegness, PE24 4SUAbout the event
What is the UK's largest butterfly? How do comma butterflies protect themselves from predators? Where did the name 'butterfly' come from in the first place?
Track down the 10 butterfly facts and use them to answer the questions on the trail leaflet. The boards are all positioned around the Plantation area, which is fairly level and accessible for most pushchairs and wheelchairs. It is a short walk from the main car park and Visitor Centre, where you'll find the leaflets. Please help yourself to one, and a tear-off map if you're not familiar with the nature reserve, then set off butterfly hunting!
This is a free self-guided trail, open to all. Normal car parking charges apply. There are toilets in the car park area as well as inside the Visitor Centre, which also has a cafe and gift shop.
