About the event
What is the UK's largest butterfly? How do comma butterflies protect themselves from predators? Where did the name 'butterfly' come from in the first place?
Track down the 10 butterfly facts and use them to answer the questions on the trail leaflet. The boards are all positioned alongside the paths within the dog-friendly Country Park area of Snipe Dales, so the whole family can help sniff them out!
You'll find the leaflets in the rack on the wall of the main building, near the snipe wings artwork. Please help yourself to one, then look for your first butterfly board as you head down the path. The boards follow a circular route. There are some steep sections but the paths are accessible for pushchairs.
This is a self-guided trail, open to all. Please bring £1 cash for the car park machine. There are toilets in the car park area.
