About the event

#TheTimeIsNow to act for nature’s recovery - join Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust on a mass lobby.

On 26th June thousands of us will gather at Westminster, central London, to call on our politicians to set the foundations for a brighter, greener and safer world.

The time is now for MPs to end the UK’s contribution to climate change and pass ambitious laws for nature's recovery on land and at sea. Join us to show our politicians the way to a #WilderFuture.

We have organised a 49-seater return coach to Westminster. Please meet at Horncastle Market Place for a 5:30am departure on Wednesday 26th June.

We have organised a second pick-up location at Lincoln Train Station at 6:15am. Please get in touch with us directly to let us know if you'd like to be collected from here.

We'll be setting off to return from London at 5:30pm. A pick-up point for return will be arranged on the day.

There is limited availability for this coach so please book your seat here.

Please feel free to organise your own transport. We advise everyone to use public transport or car sharing where possible. If you're travelling by National Express, use the discount code CCL2019 to get 25% off coaches to Victoria Coach Station on the day.

Why now?

This summer we want to see the Government support a strong and ambitious Environment Act that protects and restores wildlife. We also want them to commit to a net zero emissions target.

Together we will call for strong laws to protect our climate, nature and people.

What to expect

This lobby will be an opportunity to meet and speak to our MPs directly and face to face as they'll be coming out to the streets around Parliament to hear people's views about climate and the natural environment.

Thousands will join an organised lobby line queuing around Westminster, separated by constituency and full of people keen to talk to their MPs about the environment.

1pm: The lobby begins. It may take a while to find your constituency’s area, so please allow plenty of time and ensure you’re in the lobby line by 1pm. There will be signposts for regions and constituencies — East Midlands will be on the east side of the river, find a map here.

2pm: Alarm clock moment! Whilst gathering in the lobby line, we're going to set off as many alarm clocks as possible. By doing so, we will send a message to Westminster that they need to wake up and respond to the challenges our beautiful world is facing. Bring a portable alarm clock from home or use your phone!

1-4pm: Meet your MPs around parliament. We are hoping at least 10,000 Wildlife Trust supporters from across the country will meet with their MPs in the streets around Parliament, all at the same time!
