   Archaeological Weekend
Willow Tree Fen
9am – 4pm
Take part in archaeological investigations of this new reserve before it is restored for wildlife.
Help with geophysical survey, field walking the site, auguring to test deposits and maybe even digging test pits.
Ceramics specialists will identify finds and an illustrator will show you how to record them.
Also experimental sea salt making, reflecting the use of the site in Roman times.
Stout footwear/wellington boots recommended.
Bring a packed lunch.

Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve
12.30pm - 3.30pm

Winter brings high tides which wash litter onto our beaches.
A recent survey estimated that there are 4,277 items of litter per km of beach. Help reduce that: take part in the annual beach clean.
Followed by hot soup to reward your hard work.
