About the event

Please meet in East End Car Park, Alford at 10.45am to economise on transport or 11am at Swinn Wood (LN13 0ED). Please park carefully as the adjacent road verge is protected.

In recent years Swinn Wood has become a hotspot for a number of less common butterflies such as purple hairstreak, white admiral and purple emperor. We hope to have a fine day so that they will be active. Richard Doan, LWT warden, will be our guide. We will also see the management work that has been done over-winter. We hope for better weather than last year!
