Walking in a Whisby Wonderland

Walking in a Whisby Wonderland

With shorter days and chilly temperatures, winter can be a tricky time to encourage little ones to get out and explore. But what better reason to get wrapped up, out in the fresh air, and go exploring, than the Whisby Winter Family Trail at Whisby Nature Park?

The self-led interactive trail will guide you around the scenic Thorpe Lake route, whilst teaching your little ones all about the amazing wildlife that calls Whisby Nature Park their home.

Make your winter a wild one

The fun doesn’t stop there. If you’re unable to get to Whisby or would like some ideas of accessible activities to do at home with your little ones then look no further, as we’ve recently released our Winter Wildlife Explorer Pack 2022.

The pack is a part of a seasonal series that aims to provide exploratory, accessible, and fun activities for all the family. It’s the perfect way to beat those winter blues whilst getting outside, active, and discovering the fascinating natural world around us. The pack is bursting with festive-themed activities from spotter sheets to making your own eco-crackers. It aims to encourage youngsters to take action, discover, and get creative for their local wildlife.

Winter can be a tough time for wildlife and small acts of kindness go a long way. If your family wants to help your local wildlife this winter.
