Explore the outdoors this autumn

The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has plenty lots of autumnal events to encourage children to get off the sofa and enjoying an outdoor adventure

There are opportunities to discover the magical world of fungi, enjoy the autumn colours of woodlands and, if you’re brave enough, join some spooky Halloween and starlit walks.  The events are based at the education centres at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve near Skegness, Far Ings National Nature Reserve near Barton and Whisby Nature Park near Lincoln, and with Wildlife Watch clubs across the county.  For all the events, children must be accompanied by an adult and booking in advance is essential.   Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve Contact Jill Hardy on 01754 897842 or Rachel Kirby on 01754 898057 - option 1, email: gibeducation@lincstrust.co.uk Apples and Orchards with the Gibraltar Point Wildlife Watch Group Saturday 27 October 10am – 12 noon For children aged 10 years and older. Tuesday 30 October 2pm - 4pm Come along and explore Far Ings and the amazing creatures that live here. Make a variety of items: bird boxes, tables and feeders, to help our feathered friends through the year. £2 Whisby Nature Tots Wednesday 7 November 10am – 11am Outdoor seasonal activities for the Under 5s. £2 per child Hibernation with the Whisby Wildlife Watch Group Saturday 10 November 10am – 12.30pm Lots of creatures vanish over winter, but where do they go and what are they doing? £2 Wildlife Watch Groups Wildlife Watch is our junior branch and we have Wildlife Watch clubs around the county.  These clubs have meetings every month and are run by local volunteers, supported by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Watch Organiser. 3. The Wildlife Trusts
