The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust is a leading voluntary organisation for the conservation of wildlife and wild places in Lincolnshire. We work actively on conservation issues and manage almost 100 reserves.
You can play a part in this vital work. Volunteers of all ages contribute to the Trust's work bringing a range of skills, interests, time and enthusiasm. There is a range of voluntary opportunities: indoors and outdoors, skilled and unskilled, regular and casual. You could find yourself surveying wildflowers, putting up fencing, assisting in a visitor centre, helping children enjoy a minibeast hunt or stuffing envelopes.
To apply to become a volunteer please complete the Volunteer Registration Form, which can be found on the Ways to Help page.

Volunteer Education Assistants
During term-time the education team at Gibraltar Point delivers environmental education to both primary and secondary residential school groups as well as schools that are just visiting for the day. We also offer fun and inspiring children’s events during the school holidays for children aged 3 - 11 years old. We are looking to recruit education volunteers to assist with school groups and events. This position would suit somebody who enjoys working with children and has an interest in teaching. Becoming a Gibraltar Point Education Volunteer is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience of teaching and working in the environmental sector, either for someone starting out in their career or looking for a change in direction. Experience of teaching or working with children’s groups would be useful. However experience is not essential as full training will be provided. All volunteers would need to complete a CRB check before volunteering with us.
-
Sales Staff
Regular volunteers are required to work in the shop at Gibraltar Point Visitor Centre. The shop is open Mondays to Fridays and at weekends. Tasks include: talking to visitors, weighing up seed, till sales, stocking shelves, cleaning etc. Full training is given, both on the sales side and on the work of the reserve in general.
