About the event

Snipe Dales is a great place to get out and about with lots to do for the whole family.

Throughout the day there will be refreshments available including homemade cakes, a chance to chat with our volunteers from our Spilsby Area Group to find out about Snipe Dales and our other local activities, and you can enjoy a stroll around the Country Park.

There will be scheduled activities throughout the day. The activities will be as follows;

Den building - 10:30 to 12:00

Can you build a den big enough to shelter your whole family using only natural materials? Test your skills and join us at our family den building session.

River Dipping - 12:00 to 13:30

Ever wondered what creatures are living in Winceby Beck? Come and join us at our family stream dipping session, grab one of our nets and your wellies and dip into the shallow parts of the stream and see what you can find.

Snipe Dales Guided Walk - 14:00 to 15:30

A guided walk through the Country Park and Nature Reserve led by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust Warden. There will be frequent stops to look at the natural history of the site and to consider past and present management for both wildlife and people.

Be sure to bring some cash for the parking (£1) and for refreshments and cake.

Everyone is welcome! You don't need to be a member to join our activities.
